Release of Copenhagen Centre for Global Criminology

Join us for the opening of CRIMTANG: A new ethnographic approach to transnational organised crime.

Criminal Entanglements (CRIMTANG) is a new research project on the underlying socio-cultural logic and practices of Transnational Organized Crime (TOC). The smuggling of people and drugs are the fastest growing criminal enterprises in the world and with an ethnographic and transnational design. The project explores these illegal and overlapping flows of migrants and drugs from North-West Africa into Europe, following a key trafficking trajectory stretching from Tangiers to Barcelona, Paris and beyond.

Professor Henrik Vigh will introduce the overall scope of CRIMTANG followed by presentations of various parts of the project by the researchers in charge.

We will serve wine and snacks at the event and we cannot wait to see you!
